Project Description

In Huizen, we were once again able to complete a wonderful project. The home was already partially electrified, with an air conditioner serving as supplemental heating and an induction cooktop. A plug-in hybrid will be added soon as well. The desire to further improve sustainability with solar panels and a home battery had been there for quite some time. We installed 7 solar panels in combination with a 10 kWh Anker SOLIX X1 home battery. In addition, 8 of the 12 circuit groups are connected to the integrated emergency power supply. This ensures that the home’s most essential systems will continue to function normally in the event of a power outage. The carport provided the ideal location for the solar panels. A south-facing orientation was chosen to maximize the system’s efficiency. Although an east-west orientation is often advantageous these days due to the spread of power generation, a south-facing orientation is better suited to the situation in this case. In combination with the home battery, this results in a higher energy yield, especially during the winter months, allowing the battery to be used more efficiently even then. A compact, smart, and future-proof energy system that allows residents to immediately benefit from lower energy costs, increased self-consumption, and added security thanks to the integrated backup system.
