Sigenergy 9 kWh home battery with 10 kW hybrid inverter

Sometimes the customer himself is the one who best understands what he needs. The resident works daily in the energy industry and applied that knowledge behind his own front door. What started with a P1 meter and a few smart switches grew into a fully controllable home. The 10 kW inverter was a deliberate choice here: with a fully controllable home and a dynamic energy contract, consumption can rise sharply at peak times. A more powerful inverter prevents the battery from becoming a bottleneck when charging, delivering and controlling appliances simultaneously.

The 9 kWh storage fits well with the daily consumption profile, sufficient to absorb nightly demand and smartly recharge during the day from the solar panels. The panels are in an east-west arrangement, which provides a better distribution of generation throughout the day. As a result, the battery benefits from solar energy earlier and can be self-sufficient for longer.

Combined with the heat pump boiler as an additional buffer, this is a household that moves flexibly with the grid, even when rates spike. For households with a similar profile, lots of controllable appliances, dynamic contract and existing solar panels, a well-tuned system like this is often more effective than simply choosing the largest battery.
