Project Description

In Hilversum, we mounted a Zaptec Go 2 for a business driver who wanted to charge smartly and cheaply. The choice of the Zaptec Go 2 was deliberate: this model has a built-in MID-certified meter, which is a requirement for the ERE scheme.

With the ERE scheme, you receive financial compensation for the COâ‚‚ reduction you realize by driving electric. The revenue is paid out annually. A prerequisite is that the charging station has an officially approved MID meter that is physically installed, and the Zaptec Go 2 meets this standard.

Even without solar panels, you can save significantly by using a dynamic energy contract. The Zaptec Go 2 can be set to charge automatically at times when the power price is low, for example at night or when there is a lot of generation from the sun or wind. This way you still benefit from low energy prices, even if you do not have your own generation.

The charging station is 3-phase connected with a 20A circuit breaker, allowing charging with up to 14 kW if the car supports it.
