When choosing battery-ready solar panels, the inverter is an important decision. SunCharged offers two options that are perfectly prepared for a home battery: a hybrid string inverter or micro-inverters. Here are the differences:

Hybrid String Inverter

A hybrid string inverter is a central inverter that controls all your solar panels and is ready to connect a home battery directly. It's a cost-efficient solution, ideal for roofs with minimal shading, and makes your system easily expandable with a battery when you're ready. Note: the battery must be located close to the inverter, maximum 3 meters, for optimal performance.

Micro-Inverters

Micro-inverters are attached behind each solar panel and optimize the yield per panel, even in case of shade or dirt. They are slightly more expensive but offer more flexibility and higher yields in complex situations. These systems are also battery-ready, and the battery can be placed up to 100 meters away, giving you more freedom in placement.

Investing in your own energy: always a smart choice

Battery-ready solar panels already offer you the benefits of solar energy, with the flexibility to add a home battery later. Generate sustainable energy and benefit from net metering regulations as long as they remain in effect.
